Ron Jon Surf Shop has gotten the nod from the Canaveral Port Authority board of commissioners to build a $147-million surf-themed resort that includes 400 hotel rooms, 20,000 square feet of meeting space, a water park and an entertainment complex. The project, expected to open within three years, will create 4,100 full-time jobs and have a $498-million impact on the area's economy.
